Final Remarks

We have arrived safely home!  In total, we were able to serve 161 people through our clinic this past week, and each and every patient was a blessing to us! Our team is so thankful for each and every host, translator, and helper who made this trip possible.  Throughout these past 8 days we have had many devotions, countless minutes of prayer, and unlimited smiles! We built friendships that we hope to rekindle on future trips!  Thank you all for your prayers and for following along on our trip! Please continue to keep each student and their families in your prayers, as well as our team members as we reintegrate into our normal daily lives!

Day 4 What a great Monday it was!!  The breeze kept things a little cooler here for us on Monday although it was still very hot and  humid, the breeze was a gift from God and a constant reminder that the Holy Spirit was with us all day long!  Monday we were able to see 26 patients including an inspirational single mother of a young daughter. This mother had lost half of her leg in a work accident (amputated above the knee) 6 years ago when her daughter was only 8 years old. Ever since, her young daughter has been taking care of her since their entire family consists of just those two strong women! This mother’s faith was beyond inspirational as she spoke about how thankful she was to God about all He has given her, despite the challenges. Her daughter also showed extreme strength and responsibility at the young age of 14! Although countless health complications present themselves to this mother, her smile lit up the entire room, especially when she spoke about her faith in J

We started to set up the doctor’s stations, the pharmacy, and the registration area around 7:00am to be fully prepared for patients to arrive around 8:00am.  Our clinic day began rather slowly with a few patients trickling in here and there for a total of 23 patients for the whole day, but each patient was a blessing to our lives and truly had the love of Jesus in their hearts!!  Times are a little different during this trip and our team, our hosts, and our patients are all following the highest safety protocols to ensure the safety of all of God’s children!  This morning, Sunday, we had the oppo
